Helmcken Falls

Price range: $35.00 through $65.00

At 141 metres, Helmcken Falls is the fourth-highest waterfall in Canada. Water from the Murtle River rushes down before continuing on, forming more waterfalls along the way. The area was formed by fire and ice; volcanic activity deposited lava over the Clearwater River valley 200,000 years ago, while Helmcken Canyon was formed by meltwater from the last ice age.

The falls lie on the traditional, unceded territories of the Simpcw and the Tsq’escenemc First Nations
